A De Soto man has pleaded guilty to murder.

52-year-old James Deese was accused of murdering 76-year-old Frank Stonemark, also of De Soto, and then attempting to conceal the body.

The concealment charge was dropped in exchange for the guilty plea.

Prosecutors say Deese strangled Stonemark around October 29, 2017.

Sentencing is set for September 15, 2018.
