The largest solar array in Illinois is set to be built in Perry County.

According to a press release from Wabash Valley Power, the new solar array will more than double the state wide solar capacity.

The 99 megawatt array will be built on private ground by New York based Ranger Power.

Once complete, the setup will provide enough energy to power nearly 15,000 homes.
