Police in Carterville are looking for a tool thief.

According to a news release, roughly $4,000 worth of tools were stolen out of a construction trailer that was parked at a job site in the 700 block of Jonathan Lane.

The theft could have happened anytime between 2:30 Tuesday afternoon and 7:00 Thursday morning.
