A Mound City man has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges.

28 year old Jerrel Stockstill was sentenced this week in Jackson County.

Prosecutors say Stockstill helped his brother – Jamode Stockstill – in an attempt to smuggle marijuana onto an Amtrak train in Carbondale.

Jerrel Stockstill is also facing charges from a high speed chase through five counties back in 2015.
