SIU will be among the universities Moody’s Investors Service is taking a close look at over the next 90 days.

The bond credit rating company said it will also be looking for potential credit downgrades at the University of Illinois, Illinois State University, Eastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University and Governors State University.

Yesterday, Moody’s bumped Northeatern Illinois University’s credit down two levels – citing weekend cash flow due in part to the 22 month state budget impasse.
