Mount Vernon’s City Council tabled two ordinances that could pave the way for a new mobile home park near Lincoln Park.

Developers say that the changes would bring more affordable housing to the area. Opponents say the area lacks the infrastructure to add more residents.

City council leaders decided to let newly elected officials – who will be sworn in next month – make the decision.
