Police in Mt. Vernon have arrested a man for the armed robbery of a Huck’s Convenience Store there.

It happened early Easter morning when police allege 26 year old Ryan Stewart of Centralia robbed the store, brandishing a knife, before fleeing on foot.

Following his arrest, Stewart was incarcerated at the Jefferson County Justice Center.
