CHAMPAIGN CO- The Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Dracy “Clint” Pendleton, 35, on a charge of attempted murder of a police officer.
On May 7 around 10:45 pm, a Mahomet police officer was involved in a shooting with Pendleton.
According to state police, the officer and Pendleton exchanged gunfire and Pendleton fled the scene. The officer was shot in the arm and authorities believe Pendleton received a gunshot wound, but the degree of the wound is unknown. State police also stated Pendleton may seek treatment for his injuries at a medical facility.
He is believed to be armed with an AK-47. Authorities believe that Pendleton has possibly stolen a 2007 white GMC pick-up truck with Illinois plates: 165533 B.
