Two people were taken to a local hospital after a crash on an Interstate 57 exit ramp in Franklin County yesterday morning.

According to the IL State Police, 30-year old Brendan Wollard of Carterville was exiting I-57 and was approaching the intersection with IL Rt. 14 at the top of the ramp around 8:35 am.

A Jeep being driven by 38-year old Jennifer Sullivan of Thompsonville was heading eastbound on Rt. 14 and was approaching the same intersection.

Wollard failed to stop at a red light and crashed into Sullivan, causing major damage to both vehicles.

Sullivan, and a 4-year old passenger in Sullivan’s vehicle were taken to a local hospital.

Wollard was cited for driving without insurance and disobeying a traffic control device.
