The Johnson County Coroner says the death of a man in a house fire on Sunday night was accidental.

35-year-old Larry Gene Littleton Jr. died in that house fire in New Burnside. Coroner David Rockwell said the cause of death appears to be smoke inhalation.

Authorities say the fire is still under investigation – officials do not know why Littleton was unable to get out of the home.
