A Christopher woman was injured in a crash yesterday on Interstate 64. It happened at 1:20 p.m. near mile marker 72 – state troopers say 18 year old October Marchal of Christopher was stopped in the left lane of the interstate when a semi made an abrupt lane change to avoid hitting her car.

The car behind the semi – driven by 25 year old Brett Hamilin of Knoxville, Tennessee, couldn’t avoid hitting Marchal’s car, authorities said.

Marchal told police she was trying to move her car onto the shoulder because it was overheating. She was ticketed, and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
