An armed robbery at a Carterville pharmacy last night is under investigation.

Officers were called to Family Drug around 7 pm after a robbery was reported.

Carterville Police say the suspect entered the pharmacy, brandished a weapon, and demanded drugs before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as a 6 feet tall white male with facial hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hooded shirt, and boots.

The IL State Police has begun an investigation into the incident.
