U.S. Senate Republicans rejected an amendment to a bill attempting to repeal Obamacare, the amendment in question would block suspected or known terrorists from buying guns.
According to The Hill, the measure, which was introduced by Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, would allow Attorney General Loretta Lynch to block gun and explosive sales to a suspected or known terrorist if the individual is assumed to use the weapons nefariously.
U.S. Senator Mark Kirk, a Republican, voted along with Democrats in an attempt to move forward with the amendment. North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp was the only Democrat to not vote along party lines, voting in opposition to the amendment.
