A Murphysboro man was arrested Wednesday for possessing a stolen Utility Terrain Vehicle.

Murphysboro Police say the UTV was reported as stolen around 8 am that day. 35-year old Danny Odom was arrested after Odom was stopped by Jackson County Deputies around 3:15 pm, while hauling a trailer containing the stolen UTV.

Further investigation found that Odom had stolen a vehicle in Jackson County earlier in the day, as well as a second UTV in Randolph County.

Odom was charged with automobile theft and two charges of theft of over $500. More charges are pending.
