Authorities say two people exploited more than $100,000 from an elderly woman in West Frankfort.

37-year old Jeffery Connell and 81-year old Anna Connell are accused of giving false information to the elderly woman. Police then got involved and an investigation led to the discovery of the stolen money.

Jeffrey Connell was arrested and taken to the Franklin Co. Jail on charges of Financial Exploitation of the Elderly.

Charges against Anna Connell may also be on the way.
