A former Southern Illinois mayor is suing the governor along with the chairman of the state parole board after claiming that he has been embarrassed and suffered distress after he was fired from the Illinois Prisoner Review Board.

Through this lawsuit, Gregg is hoping to be able to keep working on the board and is also wanting to be paid a compensation for the emotional damages.
