Tragedy struck a McLeansboro family over the weekend.

 

Isaiah Snowden, a 17 year old McLeansboro football player, was killed when he was traveling near in the intersection of Bessie road and Akin blacktop road in Benton Saturday night when the truck ran over a tree and then proceeded to run into a mobile home.

 

Snowden was no driving the vehicle.

 

There were three other passengers in the vehicle who were treated at area hospitals.

 

Authorities say alcohol was found in the vehicle but the investigation into the cause of the wreck is ongoing.
