A Minnesota man is dead after crashing his car in Hardin County.

According to the Illinois State Police, the 56-year old, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, was heading northbound on IL Rt. 1 just south of Camp Cadiz Road around 4:18 pm.

The man lost control of the vehicle as it entered a curve on the roadway, where his pickup hit a ditch, rolled over, and came to rest on its roof.

The man was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Hardin Co. Coroner Jessica Cullum.
