A Marion man was taken to a local hospital by ambulance after crashing his SUV while pulling a boat and trailer early yesterday morning.

According to the Illinois State Police, 19-year old Andrew Rance of Marion was driving his SUV westbound on IL Rt. 13 just west of Samuel Road when his vehicle veered to the left, entered the median, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes.

Rance was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
