A crash on Illinois 148 left one Indiana woman dead.

 

The woman was driving southbound on 148 near the Crab Orchard Lake overpass, while a Semi driven by a Galatia man was traveling northbound when the two hit head on.

 

The woman was taken to a local hospital and was then being flown to a regional hospital when she died on the flight.

 

The Galatia man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

 

The names of those involved have not been released.
