Two years of negotiations during an impasse between unionized Jackson County first responders and the Jackson County Board have tentatively ended with both sides coming to an agreement on a contract.

First responders had been bargaining for a pay increase higher than that of what the County Board was offering.

The tentative deal must be approved by the full County Board.

Jackson Co. Board Member John Rendleman will be on Friday’s (08/21) edition of the Morning News Watch to discuss the tentative agreement.
