Mosquitoes have been found with West Nile Virus in Jackson County.

The first batch of mosquitoes to test positive in Jackson County were collected near Murphysboro.

Those who are affected by West Nile may experience nausea, fever, and aches. Citizens older than 50 are more likely than younger people to develop a serious illness.
