A Herrin man reportedly struck by a car last week has died and police are investigating the death as a homicide.

 

Dana Kind of Herrin was found unconscious last Friday and a 911 call was made saying he had been hit by a vehicle.

 

Kind was taken to Herrin hospital, but was later transferred to St. Louis where he died.

 

An autopsy done confirms that Kind was killed from a closed brain injury from blunt force trauma.
