A suspicious death is under investigation in Christopher.

53-year old Steven Berkley was pronounced dead at Franklin Hospital early Saturday morning.

The Illinois State Police is conducting an investigation as the cause of Berkley’s death is unknown.

An autopsy is scheduled for later today.
