A man and a juvenile have been arrested in connection with a December armed bank robbery in Carrier Mills.

43-year old Jeffery Townsend, formerly of Winchester Kentucky was arrested on Friday in Virginia, and is awaiting extradition to Illinois.

The robbery occurred in December 2014 at the First Southern Bank branch in Carrier Mills.

The juvenile reportedly lives in Stonefort, though it isn’t known if he was with Townsend when he was arrested.
