Funeral services have been planned for a West Frankfort police officer who died Friday following a motorcycle crash.

Visitation for 53-year-old Jeffrey Dwayne Reed will be Tuesday afternoon from 3 until 8 at the First Baptist Church in West Frankfort, with the funeral at 11 Wednesday morning at the church.

Officer Reed had been a patrolman with the West Frankfort Police Department since 1996. He was also an artist and craftsman who designed the current seal for the city of West Frankfort.
