One person suffered serious injuries as a result of a traffic crash in DeSoto on Wednesday.

A pickup truck being driven by 38-year old Kenneth Gulley of Carbondale was turning South from IL Rt. 149 to US Rt. 51 when a motorcycle being driven by 27-year old Jacob Voigts of Carbondale hit the driver’s side of Gulley’s truck.

Voigts was ejected from the motorcycle, and suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. Voigts was later taken to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.
