Officers of the SIU Board of Trustees were elected yesterday. Randal Thomas was re-elected as the Board Chair, Donna Manering was chosen to be Vice Chair. Joel Sambursky was elected as the Board Secretary. Lucas Carter was named as General Counsel. Carter had been serving as interim General Counsel since 2013.

The board also approved $1 million in funds to complete the second phase of renovations to McLafferty Annex, $475,000 for renovations to the School of Dental Medicine’s student lab, as well as funds to cover loans dedicated to the renovation of Itchy Jones Stadium.
