FRANKLIN CO.-One person is injured after a late night car crash occurred in Ziegler on Sunday.

Authorities state the driver of the car was drag racing with another vehicle.

The vehicle crashed into a tree, just a few feet in front of a home at the intersection of Pine Street and Route 149.

The driver was out of the vehicle when first responders arrived at the scene. The driver suffered head injuries and was transported to Herrin Hospital.

The driver’s name has not yet been released.
