The Jackson County Shriff’s Office, Ambulance Service and the Muprhysboro Pomona Somserset Township Fire Department First Responders responded to a single vehicle crash on Thursday morining.

25 year-old Nicole Ristow was driving south on Town Creek Road in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am in Murphysboro around 7:00 am Thursday morning. Her car left the road and struck the end of a guard rail.

Ristow was ejected from her vehicle as her car rolled over and ended up near a creek.

The Jackson County Coroner’s Office pronounced Ristow dead at the scene. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Officers are investigating the accident. Anyone with more information about the crash is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
