A Mt. Vernon man has been incarcerated after police received a report of gunshots being fired.

20-year old Orlando Dotts was arrested after police responded to the 700 block of South 23rd St. Friday afternoon.

Dotts was charged with violating an order of protection, possession of a firearm by a felon, reckless discharge, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Dotts is incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail.
