A plea deal has been taken by a former pastor who is accused of stealing money from his church.

34-year old Joshua Swain is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from The View Church in Carbondale, as well as stealing one member’s identity.

Swain pleaded guilty to one count of theft, one count of aggravated identity theft, and one count of loan fraud.

In all, the counts facing Swain could be punishable by up to 29 years behind bars. He will have to pay thousands back to the church, and could also receive 4 years of probation.
