A Mt. Vernon man is behind bars after allegedly stealing money from two patrons and striking a third early yesterday morning outside a bar in Dowell.

21-year old Tony Feggins has been charged with aggravated battery and robbery after allegedly stealing money from two patrons at VanZandt’s Tavern just before 4 am.

A third patron had attempted to stop Feggins from leaving the tavern but was struck in the face.

Feggins left the parking lot in a car, but witnesses were able to help Jackson County Deputies track the car down.

Feggins remains incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.
