John A. Logan College is looking ahead to fiscal year 2015 and the numbers they see are not promising.
The college is projected to have a $1.8 million operating budget deficit.
Declining enrollments, lost revenue from courses previously offered at the college, and the Illinois Community College Board demanding $1.7 million in repayments for courses offered at the Community Health Education Complex can all be attributed to the deficit.
The projections also do not factor in cuts in state funding, a potential minimum wage increase, and implementation of the Affordable Care Act for eligible employees.
