A Marion man is behind bars after officers conducting a traffic stop found that he was driving with a revoked license on Saturday.
Energy Police arrested 43-year old Jason Morgan. While officers were taking inventory of the items in the car, officers two 12-gauge shotguns in the trunk.
Morgan was charged with possession of firearms by a felon, and felony possession of firearms without a FOID card.
Later that day, Jonesboro Police took a report of a car being stolen along with the two shotguns matching the description of the car that Morgan was driving when he was arrested.
Additional charges of possession of a stolen car and stolen firearms have been forwarded to the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office.
