SIU President Randy Dunn has stated that he will take over the duties of Chancellor for a brief period, in a letter written to faculty and staff.

Dunn takes over the duties of the late Interim Chancellor Paul Sarvela.

The process of finding a new Chancellor is expected to take anywhere from 5 to 8 months, and is expected to begin at the SIU Board of Trustees meeting in December.
