Regional school Superintendents throughout Southern Illinois are prepping for consolidation. Five counties will be splitting up and consolidating with two others.

Union, Pulaski, and Alexander Counties will consolidate with the Jackson-Perry Regional Office of Education, while the Johnson and Massac Counties will be overseen by the Franklin-Williamson Regional Office.

The transition will take place next July.
