Murphysboro, Ill. – A man from Murphysboro faces aggravated assault and public intoxication charges after an incident at a local hospital.

Murphysboro Police say 42-year-old Michael Ricketts sustained minor injuries after a drunken fall Thursday night. When he was taken to St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital, police say he assaulted a staff member.

He is out on bond pending a court appearance.
