Carbondale, Ill. – A man will see over 15 years in prison for a heroin charge.
45-year-old Michael Burns of Carbondale was sentenced to 188 months yesterday after pleading guilty to a charge of conspiracy to distribute heroin.
Authorities say Burns was involved in a heroin operation between August of 2012 and August of 2013. Police say he sold heroin to multiple confidential sources working with law enforcement.
Burns was classified as a career offender.
