Grand Tower, Ill. – The Governor will likely sign legislation to help Jackson County officials fix a failing levee.

The Southern Illinoisan reports Quinn’s spokesman said it’s just a matter of finding the time and place to sign the bill, sponsored by State Senator Dave Luechtefeld and State Representative Mike Bost.

The bill authorizes Jackson County to sell $1.7 million in bonds to repair the Mississippi River levee at Grand Tower.
